One pathway,
not four admissions

The JGI Group's stated mission is education "from cradle to career," and it means it literally: a child starting Playgroup at Jain Heritage School enters a pathway that runs through our schools, into the Jain Colleges, and on to JAIN (Deemed-to-be University).

Practically, that means a family is not signing up for a stage. It means the school has no incentive to optimise for one year's results at the cost of the eleven that follow — because it is the same institution answering for all of them.

Knowledge makes character.  The group's founding principle, and still the point.

Finland begins formal academics later than almost any comparable system and its children spend fewer hours in a classroom than their peers — and they still finish among the strongest learners in the developed world. We import the training and the method, not the tax system.

That method is not tied to a board. It is how we teach, not what the syllabus contains — which is why CBSE taught this way becomes deeper, and ICSE taught this way becomes livelier.

we earned our name.

Jain Heritage School belongs to the JGI Group — an educational movement founded in 1990 by Dr. Chenraj Roychand on a single conviction: that education should be for life, not just for a living. Our Whitefield campus stands among Bangalore's most distinguished schools, known for rigorous academics, a joyful no-pressure learning culture, pioneering Finnish pedagogy, and children who walk out confident, curious and kind.

The timing

The campus is open now, for Playgroup to Grade 7, in both CBSE and ICSE, and a further grade opens every year to Grade 12 in 2032–33. Admissions for 2027–28 are open, and a visit means walking the actual campus, not a plan.

This is a new campus. How do I know it will be good?

Judge the organisation, not just the campus. Jain Heritage School has been running since 1990 inside the JGI Group, a network of 100+ institutions. Electronic City is a new campus of an existing school, not a new school with a borrowed name. Come see it running, ask what we're still refining, and hold us to the answer.

Is this a franchise, or is it actually run by the group?

It is a JGI Group institution. The pathway from Playgroup through the Jain Colleges to JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) is the group's own, which is why we describe the mission as "cradle to career" rather than as a partnership.

What does "India's first Finnish K–12 school" actually mean in practice?

It means the teaching method is Finnish, while the curriculum is the board you choose — CBSE or ICSE. Our teachers are trained in Finnish teaching practices; assessment is recorded as observation and portfolio rather than as a rank; learning happens through phenomena and activity rather than through worksheets. Our own institutional framework is blunt about the limits of this: "Not everything from Finland applies here. We adopt the best practices that work for our students."

Which boards, and which grades does Electronic City have?

Both CBSE and ICSE. For 2027–28 the campus runs Playgroup, LKG, UKG and Grades 1 to 7. One further grade opens every academic year after that — Grade 8 in 2028–29, through to Grade 12 in 2032–33, so a child joining the founding cohort never has to change school. You already have campuses in Bangalore. How is this one different?

It is the same school and the same method, on a new site, built for this part of the city — with one genuine first: this is the campus where a family can choose between CBSE and ICSE without changing schools. The rest of the difference a family in Rayasandra will feel is practical rather than philosophical: a shorter journey, a smaller first cohort, and an admissions team you can actually reach on a phone.

What are the fees?

We share the full structure — tuition, meals, supplies, transport by distance, and the discounts and concessions available — during your campus visit, so you get the complete picture rather than a headline number. Please disregard fee figures listed on third-party school-aggregator websites; several are years out of date.
