Rayasandra, Electronic City — now open, Playgroup to Grade 7, and built to grow to Grade 12. Modern, safe and thoughtfully designed — come and see it for yourself.
Sy No 22/2 & 25/2, Rayasandra Main Rd, Rayasandra, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560099. Photography on this page reflects our facilities standard across Jain Heritage School campuses — where Electronic City-specific photography is still being captured, we use images from our other operating campuses and say so.
A building cannot teach a child. But the wrong building can stop a good teacher from trying.
Each of these exists because a specific thing is meant to happen in it. Where a space belongs to a stage's teaching, there is a link out to the page that explains how it is actually used.
Science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics taught as one investigation rather than five subjects. Concepts come alive through hands-on projects and purposeful play — not through a diagram copied off a board.
The labs support phenomenon-based modules: every child takes part in at least one multidisciplinary module each year, sometimes working with several teachers at once.
Space for fitness and teamwork, coached rather than merely supervised. Gross and fine motor development is planned, sequenced and tracked — pencil grip, scissors, balance beams and climbing frames, in that order.
Outdoor learning happens in most weather: planting, digging, water, sand, balance. Wet days are planned for, not cancelled.
Reading is not a subject here so much as a habit the building is trying to create. Multi-literacy — making sense of text, image, number, data and screen — is one of the seven competences woven through every subject.
Half of those literacies were not on any syllabus a generation ago, which is precisely why the reading room is not only about books.
Rooms where confidence is built rather than assessed. Musical, spatial and bodily-kinesthetic intelligences are three of the eight we deliberately develop, so every child finds a strength that is genuinely theirs.
In the early years this is the expressive half of the day: art, music, movement or story, after the quiet part.
Imaginative play zones — a kitchen, a clinic, a shop, a stage — alongside open materials for investigating the week's phenomenon. Pretend play is where language, empathy and role-taking are rehearsed, and roles are swapped on purpose so nobody is always the customer.
These are the two spaces we would point at first if you asked what is genuinely different about the building. Both are the pedagogy rendered in architecture.
A room built around the idea that children think with their hands. Counting is done with objects, not symbols. Volume is discovered by pouring. Fractions are something you can hold; area is something you build.
The other half: a quiet room for reflection and metacognition — thinking about your own thinking. Nearly every school in Electronic City has laboratories. A room designed for reflection is rare, and it is not decoration.
A secure, inclusive and caring atmosphere where every child feels valued and free to grow with confidence. In a building, that is mostly about sightlines, supervision and the adult-to-child ratio — not about a slogan on a wall.
How each centre is used differs by age. The Pre-Primary and Grades 1–7 pages describe that properly — Pre-Primary · Grades 1–7.
"I like to take the learning outside the classroom and show students the world and how it works — and it helps very much that we have a very well-structured curriculum."
— A Finnish teacher, from the school's content archiveMost campus tours skip the kitchen. Ours doesn't — a hungry child cannot learn, and we are not leaving that to chance. Meals are run in partnership with Sodexo, with menus designed by qualified dieticians and cooked to an audited hygiene standard.
Meal service is optional for Pre-Primary and part of the day from Grade 1 onward. Ask to see the week's menu on your visit.

Teaching questions are answered on the Pre-Primary and Grades 1–7 pages. These are the ones about the building and the journey to it.
The real campus — classrooms, labs, the grounds, and the team who will teach your child. That is the honest answer, and it is why we ask you to come to Rayasandra rather than browse a page. Ask what's running today and what's still being finished — we would rather you press on that now than be surprised later.
Sy No 22/2 & 25/2, Rayasandra Main Rd, Rayasandra, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560099 — a short run from the Electronic City corridor. There is a directions link on this page and on our contact page; if you would rather we just told you the easiest approach from your side of the city, call and ask.
Yes — school transport with pick-up and drop, plus extended day care for families who need a longer day. Routes and timings are best checked against your actual address rather than against a map; tell us where you live and we will confirm the nearest route.
The structural answer is the ratio: personalised attention and proper supervision are both impossible at high ratios. Our stated staff–student ratio is 1:15, and on your visit we will give you the current figure for the specific class your child would join. Allergy and dietary needs are recorded at admission and honoured daily.
Meal service is optional for Pre-Primary. Menus are balanced, vegetarian and rotating, designed by qualified dieticians and cooked on campus to an audited hygiene standard. We will walk you through the current menu on your visit.
We share the full structure — tuition, meals, supplies, transport by distance, and the discounts and concessions available — during your campus visit, so you get the complete picture rather than a headline number. Please disregard fee figures listed on third-party school-aggregator websites; several are years out of date.
Come to Rayasandra, see the classrooms and meet the team, and ask the awkward questions in person. It is a more useful hour than anything on this page.
